ABOUT

I am a language graduate in English Studies who devoted a lifetime teaching English as a Second Language. I am a licensed ESL teacher; I am also a French teacher, and a native Italian speaker. I have taught English, French, Italian for a lifetime, specialising in English. I worked for a number of language schools and in public school for years, contributing articles for online publications and working as translator on the side. My system draws on my experience in the language schools and a solid linguistics background from university. Though web design is something I usually do in my free time, it is something I have done for years, and has give me the tools to take language learning to the web. What convinced me to build this website, however, was my belief that, like technology, the primary purpose of learning a language is bringing people together. Learning a language is a great way to learn about other cultures and fight prejudice, while fostering tolerance and respect. I believe that learning languages makes us appreciate diversity, and inspire inclusion. I do not believe in language-learning as 'product', but, rather, as a bridge thrown across cultures that brings peace and understanding and tears down walls.
